Not having much of an artistic eye myself, I gave him free reign to create.... and create he did. I am so glad I chose to keep my business local.
Rude. Don't waste your money or your time. Apparently it's very inconvenient to give a ballpark estimate price quote for a frame. I understand there's a lot of factors at play; but after he insulted my intelligence, literally criticized my phone etiquette, and was just obnoxious, he wanted me to drive there (which is another town for me), just to get a quote. I let him know that my business will no longer need his "service" (if that's what he wants to call it). I also informed him that since I simply wanted a quote, I'd be happy to look at a website and get a quote within 5 minutes, or find a local competitor who actually comprehends customer service. This guy doesn't deserve what business he does get-- and unless he's actually a decent person to other customers, I can't imagine he even knows what a "regular" customer is. His sour attitude and insults lost him thousands of dollars in business, as we planned to use him for a multi-year project we have coming up.
It is a rare moment when you get home and just want to write a 'thank-you' note for something you bought. Well, I never did get around to sending that note, but the work Lewis did framing my treasured piece - and treating it as his own child was phenomenal.
