Good Arkansas travel resources. Has literature for most, if not all, Arkansas cities and travel destinations. The staff is helpful and the restrooms are clean. Often have a fire blazing. Easily accessible from the highway when traveling into Arkansas. Good place to rejuvenate from a lot of driving.
The only downside is the pet area, which is right next to the interstate. My cat *loves* to go for walks outside, but the noise from the interstate set her on edge too much, so she didn't really get a chance to enjoy her walk.
Absolutely wonderful place to stop for information. Kevin was super knowledgeable and helped us find some great hikes to do come summer. The center also has nice displays on the state's geology, history, and hiking trails. And bonus, it has pretty good coffee if you need a pick-me-up!
I will typically only visit Welcome Centers to use the restroom when traveling long distances but when I saw the sign in the window mentioning free coffee I decided to also grab a cup since I enjoy good coffee any time I can get some. I told the staff I was only passing through on my way from Arizona back home to South Jersey but that if the Welcome Center was any indication as to how nice the state was it might be worth spending more time there than what the drive down I-40 allows you to see. I don't know if I will ever be back in the area but if I am this is a good place to check out places in the state to see. The staff was very helpful with the little bit of info I needed but it seemed they were extremely helpful with another customer looking for help finding out where he was going with only a little recollection of the place.
Beautifully landscaped, wonderfully clean restrooms, and very friendly staff. [Free coffee for those who drink the stuff. I don't, so no idea about its quality.]
She ended up having to wait for the other rest areas down the road before she could enjoy a nice long walk in the outdoors.
Incredible place to get information on Arkansas and surrounding states. Can also get coupons and discounts on local attractions and events. Usually has a person working with knowledge of all of the attractions. Restrooms are very clean. Good place to stop and take a break on long trips.
